There's so much stuff to do at Thornton's Rafting Resort & Campground including fishing, swimming, whitewater paddling, and playing golf, so you won’t get bored. The good choice of local   attractions, and the nearby outdoors recreation will make you glad you came. Thornton's Rafting Resort & Campground is positioned in an area with scores of enjoyable stuff to do, and it is a wonderful escape from the city. On close by Thunder River you run into a class II-III bit of whitewater; the Veteran's Park portion is 0.5 miles long. The Veteran's Park portion of Thunder River is fitting for paddlers who have been kayak paddling for a period of time but who are not yet prepared for the genuinely perilous rapids. Whitewater rapids are perilous phenomenons, so you must check the situation in advance of a trip. Little Eagle Creek is close to Thornton's Rafting Resort & Campground   and is always a bliss to explore.
