Abenaki close by is a good ski hill with a wonderful 100-foot drop served by 2 great ski lifts; it has 6 slopes and has 8 feet of white snow per winter. There are 2 acres of ski terrain at Abenaki, 33% of the slopes are black and red; those are the ones the expert skiers enjoy the most. 67% of the slopes at Abenaki are beginner and intermediate and well suited for children and novices.   Suncook River has a class I-II section of whitewater nearby.
