Nearby Sugarbush is a ski area having a good 2,650-foot vertical drop. Sugarbush has 115 runs and 17 great ski lifts and obtains 22 feet of fluffy snow yearly. The type I-II Hanksville to Cochran Road segment of Huntington River is 8 miles long. This stretch of Huntington River is a stretch of water suited for beginners in whitewater rafting or kayaking.
