The Big Rock Camping Area to Gauley River portion of Cranberry River is fitting for kayak paddlers who have been whitewater kayaking and rafting for a bit but who are not yet set for the extremely treacherous rapids. Always check restrictions previous to going whitewater kayaking and rafting as whitewater kayaking and rafting is a treacherous endeavor. Big Rock Campground  
is in close proximity to Glade Run Lake Dam which is a scenic place beyond doubt worth a visit; if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Bee Run Trail.
