There aren't a lot of services at Tarbell Campground as it is a primitive campground. Nearby you come upon the Dole Valley Road to East Fork Lewis River portion, a type II-III+ bit of whitewater. It's a great 3-mile-from-start-to-finish bit on Rock Creek - Lewis drainage. You might get wet whitewater rafting and kayaking this bit of Rock Creek - Lewis drainage, so you should be prepared for that. Don't fail to remember to check restrictions before you go whitewater rafting and kayaking to ensure your wellbeing. With its 2,131 foot difference in height it's a stunning great outdoors trail; the Washougal Trail is 3.6 miles of tremendous backcountry hiking. | |
