We pulled into the campground around 8:00 at night. We were totally thrilled with it. That is not to say that one should have high expectations of Deer Summit. It's just that we were looking for the primitive campsite experience and we got it. Deer Creek Summit is bare bones, baby. We had the campground to ourselves. The only regret is that we didn't have much time to enjoy the campsite and surrounding area. If you are going in mid July be sure to pack pleanty of mosquito repellant. Campsite sits just off of and above highway, but there is hardly any traffic at night so it was not an issue. Washroom is fairly new and clean. Says Andy

Primitive campgrounds like this one could be demanding to get to, but they are pretty. Restrooms are as expected available, and Deer Creek Summit Campground is a primitive campground which as expected means that there are not too
