I recently camped at the Pines this past weekend. It was great. The campground is very secluded and well taken care of. It's also very easy to get to from New Castle. I would recommend this campground to anyone. Says Mike Smith

This primitive campground is situated in a tremendously beautiful site, and there are water hookups. When you arrive at this primitive campground you will realize it was well worth the effort getting here. Primitive camping at a campround like The Pines Campground is a tremendous way to be close to nature. There are needless to say restrooms at this campground, and there aren't a lot

of facilities at The Pines Campground as it is a primitive campground.
There's more to do near The Pines Campground other than just hanging out such as playing golf, swimming, whitewater paddling, fishing, and hiking, so running
out of entertaining things to do won’t happen. You really shouldn't spend all your time indoors; you need to get out once in a while; The Pines Campground is a splendid local campground if you happen to be in Virginia.
