Cardens Bluff Campground, Tennessee     Custom Search   Our family was so disappointed in this campground! Last year (2010) during our visit it was wonderful, however this years visit was appalling to say the least! The bathrooms are disgusting and the grounds were littered. The only place you can walk is on the graveled or paved areas due to the entire campground being covered in Poison Oak. Oh and that’s not the worst of it, as a matter of fact after you don’t think it can get much worse the roaches start to invade. Yep, Roaches and I’m not talking about just one or two! (BTW the bug spray you bring for Mosquitoes will have no effect on these, even if you spray them directly, they just keep coming!) The host is rude, so if you think       there will be any singing by the campfire you’re mistaken. You will promptly be asked to keep quiet, by an armed ranger the host sends your way. I wish the park ranger had been more interested in getting rid of the drunks running   around than pleasing the host. Needless to say all we could handle of that campground was one night. If your looking for a great campground consider going to Roan Mountain State Park. Says Anonymous (Sat, 25 Jun 2011) The natural loveliness at this primitive campground is good, and amenities and facilities are few in primitive campgrounds such as Cardens Bluff Campground. There are so many fun things next to Cardens Bluff Campground, and when you're here you're always having a glorious time. In Tennessee you never run out of outdoors cool stuff. There's more to do close to Cardens Bluff Campground other than just hanging out such as playing golf, whitewater paddling, swimming,   fishing, and hiking, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen.
