Good hiking is available along the Cerro Blanco Trail, and you certainly should visit Manzano Mountains State Park if you're here. This campground is so pleasant. The Crest Trail is a magnificent hiking trail next to New Canyon Campground. If you haven’t been to Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument, you should schedule some time for it since you're here. Going for a hike on the Kayser Mill Trail is always a tremendous adventure; you'll perhaps meet some folks from   Albuquerque here. Be careful coming to New Canyon Campground, you might not ever want to return back home again.
