Restrooms are needless to say at your disposal, and getting to a primitive campground like Comales Campground may be somewhat demanding,       but it's well worth it. There's such a large number of things to do near Comales Campground, and what a good place for camping it is. The nice local attractions and the nice variety of outdoors recreation will make you happy you   came. This campground is one of the great places to camp here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. As if Comales Campground wasn't enough, you can also go whitewater paddling, hiking, fishing, swimming, and playing golf, so it's just not possible to get bored. The 4 ski lifts take skiers up the 1,055-foot elevation difference at the nearby ski area Sipapu. Sipapu gets covered by an average of 16 feet of beautiful snow every season on its 31 slopes. Sipapu is a tremendous ski area, everybody enjoys it. 60% of the slopes are intermediate or beginner and well suited for kids and learners. The rest of the 200 acres of skiable terrain, 40%, consists of difficult slopes. A journey to Morphy   Lake State Park revives the spirit, and the Osha Trail is a good hiking trail nearby.
