We had a great time. Campground was very clean and maintained. Bathhouse was clean with hot showers. Location close to everything. Definitely would go back! Primitive campgrounds like these are a splendid way to get out in the wilderness. Amenities and facilities are few in primitive campgrounds such as this one; water hookups are at your disposal here. Outdoors recreation   is plentiful, some of the cool stuff you can do is hiking, whitewater paddling, fishing, playing golf, and swimming, so it's completely out of the question to get bored. Lots of people stay at Lake Powhatan Campground when they come to visit Pisgah National Forest. So many local attractions and such a nice variety of outdoors recreation are good incentives to come. Lake Powhatan Campground is situated in a neighborhood with a lot of entertaining stuff to do, and a lot of folks are fond of coming here to escape. Outdoors folks generally love this section of North Carolina. Everybody ought to go for a camping trip now and then, and Lake Powhatan Campground in North Carolina is   a nice site to go. Lake Powhatan Campground is fantastically popular with the people in Candler.
