The natural loveliness at this primitive campground is tremendous, and getting to a primitive campground like Colt Creek Campground may be somewhat difficult, but it's well worth it. There aren't loads of services at Colt Creek Campground as it is a primitive campground. When you go camping for a couple of days at a primitive campground such as this one you're beyond doubt camping. Idaho is a great spot for campers. | | enough, you can also go hiking, swimming, fishing, and whitewater paddling, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen. You find the 4-mile-from-beginning-to-end Swamp Creek Trail to White Sand Creek portion of Big Sand Creek nearby; this is a class V whitewater part. Don't go whitewater paddling on this part of Big Sand Creek unless you think your whitewater paddling capabilities are very great. Whitewater boating could become dangerous, so check circumstances before heading out. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Sally Ridge Trail. Lakes are great; Upper Bear Lake is a lake that's in the vicinity of Colt Creek Campground. So many fun things to do here in the Bitterroot | |
