Don’t be sure of staying dry raft paddling this segment of Slate Creek. Of course, raft paddling is cool but treacherous; check current conditions before you go. On a perfect day at Allison Creek Campground you can take a hike along the Lava Butte Trail, and lakes are such calm sites, why not explore Lower Twin Lake. Having a wonderful time in the Clearwater Mountains is simple. Take a side trip to Allison Creek, and   Payette National Forest is worth stopping at. A campground like this is too good to miss.
