On a magnificent day at Lake Winfield Scott Campground you can take a hike along the DeSoto Falls Trail, and a good site to stop at close by is Jarrard Gap. And that's not all the things to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. There is a great hiking trail near Lake Winfield   Scott Campground called the Black Mountain Trail.
