If you like comfort, there are tremendous cabins at this campground, and after you arrive at a primitive campground such as Lake Winfield Scott Campground you will realize it was well worth the effort getting here. There are water hookups, and this is a nice place for boating. There is lodging where you could stay the night in nice comfort; at Lake Winfield Scott Campground you can get a nicer wilderness experience than you would get at a more civilized

campground. Of course amenities are few in a primitive campground like this, and hope you enjoy fishing, Lake Winfield Scott Campground has some pleasant fishing.
Natural beauty surrounds this primitive campground; as expected
there are restrooms here. As expected there are showers at this campground. Blood Mountain Creek has a type III-V segment of whitewater close by. The 1-mile-in-length to Dicks Creek portion is glorious to raft. This segment of Blood Mountain Creek is not a spot where learners should come whitewater rafting and kayaking. You must check current conditions before you go; whitewater rafting and kayaking may get perilous. On a magnificent day at Lake Winfield Scott Campground you can take a hike along the DeSoto Falls Trail, and a good site to stop at close by is Jarrard Gap. And that's not all the things to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. There is a great hiking trail near Lake Winfield
Scott Campground called the Black Mountain Trail. Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Butternut Creek Golf Course.
