This campground is one of the pleasant places to camp here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. As if Lost Trail Campground wasn't enough, you can also go fishing, whitewater paddling, swimming, and hiking, so you won’t get bored. Rio Grande has a good 8-mile-from-start-to-finish class III-IV whitewater section nearby, the Rio Grande Reservoir to 12 miles above   Creede segment.
