Fourth of July Campground, Front Range, Colorado     Custom Search   There is no Fourth July campground, IT is Buckingham campground ''maintained'' by Boulder Open Space . Being a postage stamp sized parcel surrounded by USFS land they barely keep tabs on it. The sites are damp dark at best. Maybe this year due to drought and low snowpack they may be a bit drier by they are right next to the creek= Buggy. And there is a heavy Mtn Lion presence nearby as evidenced by a recent deer kill I came across on the trail. Says SSP This is a rustic campground, but very beautiful. Located approximately at an elevation of 3,000 feet, the campground is on a first-come, first-served basis. 4th July campground is not that close to Eldorado. I       live in this area and know it quite well. You would not want to go to 2 places in a day as it involves some driving and hiking. Says S Needless to say services are few in a primitive campground like Fourth of July Campground.   It is really delightful here at this primitive campground, and getting to a primitive campground such as Fourth of July Campground may be rather tough, but it's well worth it. Eager to raise that tent; Fourth of July Campground is a delightful local campground if you happen to be in Colorado. With such a vast number of things to do in Colorado you'll never get bored. Fourth of July Campground is to be found in a region with scores of enjoyable stuff to do; to be here is delightful fun any time. Outdoors recreation is plentiful, some of the entertaining stuff you can do is swimming, playing golf, hiking, fishing, and whitewater paddling, so you won’t run out of things to do.   This camp ground is one of the tremendous places to camp here in the Front Range.
