 worth the effort getting here. The USFS Campground to State Highway 36 segment is a fine 7-mile-in-distance class IV-V(V+) sweep of whitewater on Beegum Creek. It may be said that this sweep of Beegum Creek is a place for skilled paddling. Paddling may become treacherous, so check restrictions previous to going. Good trekking awaits you on the nearby Long Ridge Trail; this trail has a difference between top and bottom of 3,044 feet and is 8.8 miles in distance. Something like one and a half days of difficult trekking on the Long Ridge Trail is time well spent. A glorious 7.7-mile-from-start-to-finish wilderness hiking trail featuring a glorious 2,276-foot difference in elevation is to be  
found in close proximity. This is the North Yolla Bolly Cold Fork Trail; it's a gorgeous trek. The North Yolla Bolly Cold Fork Trail is demanding; it takes roughly speaking one day to trek.
