Something like one and a half days of difficult trekking on the Long Ridge Trail is time well spent. A glorious 7.7-mile-from-start-to-finish wilderness hiking trail featuring a glorious 2,276-foot difference in elevation is to be   found in close proximity. This is the North Yolla Bolly Cold Fork Trail; it's a gorgeous trek.
