Tish Tang Campground, Coast Ranges, California     Custom Search   Tish Tang is a HOLE that the tribe has not taken care of for YEARS. Piles of garbage are strewn over the majority of the campground. The bathrooms have been destroyed, and their toilets thrown on campsites. Automobile glass EVERYWHERE, and the abandoned camp hosts' cabin looks like a former meth lab. My wife and I feared for our lives, and I vowed never to go back. It is such a pity because the Trinity river in this location is especially beautiful. In 1997 Congress transferred the campground from the Government to the Hoopa Tribe with the expectation that the tribe would maintain the campground. This has not happened, and it is a shame.
