There is a total of 1,280 acres of skiable area; Bear Valley is a great spot to ski. On Mokelumne River - North Fork you come across the nearby Route 4 Bridge to Salt Springs Reservoir section. This is a type V+, 24.9-mile-in-distance section of whitewater. This  
section of Mokelumne River - North Fork is not a spot where novices should come kayak paddling. You should check the latest conditions before you go; kayak paddling may get dangerous.
