AMENITIES:
Boating
Restrooms

This is a tremendous site for boating, and as expected it can be hard to get to a primitive campground like this one, but it's worth the effort. There are obviously restrooms at this campground; primitive camping is a fine way to be in close proximity to the fresh air.
There is so much entertaining stuff to do in the vicinity of Poppy Campground, and campgrounds like these are good. There's loads of outdoors recreation available close by such as swimming, fishing, whitewater paddling, hiking, and playing golf, so running out of enjoyable things to do won’t happen.
The natural prettiness at this primitive campground

is splendid, and this is a primitive campground which unsurprisingly means that there are not too many services.
This campground is one of the fine spots to camp here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. At last, the time is right for
camping once more, and Poppy Campground is a good local campground if you happen to be in California.
All the good local attractions close by and such a good variety of outdoors recreation are guaranteed to keep you coming back many times. This part of California has a good deal of outdoors activities available.
A tremendous 20.3-mile-in-distance whitewater section on Rubicon River is close by. This, the Ellicott Bridge to Ralston Afterbay section, is a class V. You are projected to get wet paddling this section of Rubicon River, so you should be prepared for that. Check current conditions previous to going on the whitewater, otherwise it's not safe and sound. The variation in

elevation is 1,582 feet for a pretty 1.6-mile-in-distance hiking and backpacking trail close by; we are of course chatting about the Parsley Bar Trail.
