This is a primitive campground which of course means that there are a small number of facilities. Unsurprisingly it may be demanding to get to a primitive campground such as this one, but it's worth the effort. Merced River - South Fork has a class III-IV bit of whitewater nearby. The 7.4-mile-from-start-to-finish Snyder Gulch to Route 140 Bridge section is nice to raft. Generally this bit of Merced River - South Fork is a cool place for paddling.
