Chilao Campground is loved by the folks from Sierra Madre. There is so much exciting stuff close to Chilao Campground, and to be at this campground is always fun. There are water hookups, and obviously facilities       are few in a primitive campground like Chilao Campground. So many local attractions and the wonderful variety of outdoors recreation will make you glad you came. A visit to California is not complete without some camping. Lots   of folks pick Chilao Campground when going to Angeles National Forest. This campground is one of the fine places to camp here in the San Gabriel Mountains. Time to get out and breathe some fresh air, and Chilao Campground in California is such a magnificent place. As expected there are restrooms here, and when you go camping for a couple of days at a primitive campground like Chilao Campground you're in fact camping. There's more to do close to Chilao Campground other than just hanging out such as playing golf, swimming, whitewater paddling, hiking, and fishing, so running out of enjoyable things to do won’t happen. Gabrielino National Scenic Trail is a wonderful hiking and backpacking   trail; it's 19.9 miles in distance and has an elevation variation of 3,843 feet.
