Cherry Lake is off the regular path and not so burdened by the Bay Area traffic. Beautiful in all ways of the Stanislaus Forest. Quiet and relaxing. Not so traveled roads and the feel of the boonies. Says Hill Loving Life
I think that Cherry Lake is one of the best lakes I have been to. See some photos on this blog http://updownlongwayaround.blogspot.com/2010/09/cherry-lake-near-yosmite-by-peter-bruce.html Says Peter Bruce Photo (see picture)
I think Cherry lake was awesome. No more bugs than any other campground, warm days, mild nights. Campsites are lush and HUGE. As for the fishing, I don't know, I don't fish. Says Clint
