Snowbasin nearby is a tremendous   ski area; it obtains 33 feet of snow every year; it has 113 ski runs, 12 lifts, and a good 2,959-foot elevation difference. Snowbasin has 3,200 acres of ski terrain; 30% of the ski runs are advanced and expert while 70% are blue and green. Snowbasin has good ski runs to suit any ability. Near Ridgewood Estates is a pleasant 3-mile-in-length segment of whitewater on Weber River, a grade I-V, this is the Scrambled Egg Beach to Riverdale section. If by chance you have a little raft paddling know-how, this segment of Weber River could be a pleasant segment for your capability. Don't go raft paddling prior to first checking restrictions; it's risky business.
