L and R RV Park, Texas     Custom Search   We came to this RV Park by accident, called the afterhour's number, and were told there was a 30 amp service on site 48. After getting pulled in we quickly realized the beautiful trees behind us were going to block our satellite dish and wouldn't work. We went to the office where a sign was posted that said to pull in anywhere and go to the office the next morning. We found a pull through site just a few sites away and moved our stuff in there. Got everything set up and the TV worked. We thought we hit the jackpot, and considered ourselves lucky. Little did we know the p00 was going to hit the fan. The next morning I called the number listed on the sign and asked where and what time could       I come by and pay the month's rent. He gave me a location a mile up the road. I walked into the place asked the old man if he is the one who handles the park. His dogs felt the need to jump on me at this time. I didn't mind as I love   dogs. He told me his wife is the one who handles the park. I waited patiently as she got finished labeling boxes and her conversations. When she finally got to the counter I told her what lot we were in, and she had a fit as she said that lot is not the one I told you to go to, that is not where you are to be staying. I told her of the trouble with the satellite, and she had the nerve to tell me you didn't even try did you? I called my boyfriend as he is the one who would make the final decision on whether or not to stay. He came in and told her the same thing I did about the TV and such when the old man came in and said well we try to use those slots as overnight people' spots.   The old woman said ''well if we just let people come in and park where they wanted, we would have small trailers parked in bigger spots,'' to which me and my boyfriend said at the same time, ''there are. '' She said ''well, that's fine if you want to stay there but you are going to have to pay 25 a night. '' I told her we would be back later with our decision on whether we were going to stay or go. After breakfast my boyfriend and I decided to just move and not have the hassle. I went back to the place and paid the 25. When I told her of my decision she said ''what you found some place better?'' I said ''yes, maam'' and left it at that. The husband came back and tried to argue about the TV as that was his only leverage. I simply turned to him and said ''sir, your wife is the one who handles the RV Park. Thank you. '' I got my receipt and left. These people think that because work is good, and they are busy they can just treat anyone like dirt. Yes, this place may be American owner and operated but that doesn't mean this is the only RV Park in this area.
