The sites are well-maintained, the restrooms clean, and the beach is wonderful! We only wosh we could get there more often! Many times the       campground is full, because so many from neighboring towns (especially Houston, where we live) want to stay there, so we the campground is full. The staff is helpful and friendly. We would highly recommend staying at the campground,   just make your reservations early! Says Mike & Jean Edgar You are welcome to have a fire at this campground, and they offer glorious fishing trips where you can take many good size fishes. Galveston Island State Park is a wonderful position for tent camping; do bring those cats, pets are permitted. Of course there are restrooms here; horseback riding is at your disposal at this campground. If you go for boating you are in luck, boating is fine at this campground. If you like comfort, there are fine cabins here at Galveston Island State Park. Bait and tackle is offered at this campground; on a sunny day at Galveston Island State Park it's a good idea to have a good picnic at the   picnic area.
