Don't forget your fishing pole since this spot has some fine fishing; Kings Mountain State Park is a tremendous spot for horseback riding. A grade II-III+, 2-mile-long whitewater part can be found on nearby Kings Branch, the Kings Mountain Park Run segment. Paddlers on this part of Kings Branch should have a little bit of experience in whitewater kayaking and rafting.
