There is so much exciting       stuff to do in the neighborhood of Pine Oaks Camp Ground, and to be at this place is always fun. The friendly atmosphere and the ably controlled operations are a delightful draw for scores of people. On Stonycreek River you locate   the nearby Shanksville to Mostoller portion. This is a class III-IV, 3.97-mile-from-start-to-finish part of whitewater. If you boast a little bit of whitewater boating knowledge, this part of Stonycreek River could be a perfect part for your skill. Don't go whitewater boating ahead of first checking restrictions; it's dangerous stuff. Buck Run is one of the streams nearby that might be worth checking out. Blue Knob State Park is both delightful and gorgeous, and it's close to Pine Oaks Camp Ground, and hey, Gotta ski right? The Springs at Laurel Mountain is a nice place to do that. This campground is always a delight. If you are looking for a bowling alley nearby, Zips Classic Lanes is   in close proximity to Pine Oaks Camp Ground. Have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Old '56' Trail.
