Back 40 Campgrounds, Ohio     Custom Search   AMENITIES: RV hookups are available Pets are allowed Campfires are allowed Pool Game Room Nearby attractions Fishing Boating Playground Cabins Restrooms Showers WIFI is available Electric power hookups are available Activities: boating, swimming, horseshoes, volley ball and golf We have camped at the Back Forty several times over the years.  It is always neat and clean.  Our kids have a great time.  There are two ponds, one for fishing only and one for swimming.  Both are clean and well maintained.  The walking trail thru the woods is beautiful, the recreation building offers pool tables and video games       and some grocery type items including pop, ice and ice cream.  The staff is friendly and helpful.  Great family atmosphere.  We have camped on holiday weekends and non holiday weekends.  Holiday weekends many events are planned for   all ages.  We have stayed in several of the sites and have never had a bad one.  This campgound is one of the top two of about 6 that we frequent.  When we decide we want a permanent site this is where we will go.  We give it a 9 out of 10! Says Kate This campground is mostly set up for long-term campers. They have the sites with trees. Most visitors stay in a central grassy area with no shade trees. The property is well cared for and neat. There is swimming in a farm pond but no pool. Nice place for somewhere quiet to hang out but kids will get bored pretty quickly I think. The lack of shade makes it pretty hot in the summer even with AC. The owners are nice   people and friendly. Fires are permitted in fire rings which they provide. Tent camping was down the hill. There was some shade there but when it rains the area floods.
