Even if you don't like camping they also have cabins. If you go camping, try going in the off season. We went in Sept. 05 and we basically had the campground to ourselves! Even if others were in the campground, the sites are spaced       apart. Its a great getaway. Says Mandi Bring your fishing hat because fishing here is glorious ; going for a glorious hike is always exciting here. The splendid variety of local attractions and the splendid variety of outdoors   recreation will definitely have you coming back repeatedly. The fishing trips here at Springmaid Mountain are good, and horseback riding is at your disposal at this campground. The canoeing is wonderful here in case you want to experience the great outdoors close by. If by chance you like comfort, there are magnificent cabins at this campground. As if Springmaid Mountain wasn't enough, you can also go fishing, hiking, whitewater paddling, playing golf, and swimming, so you won’t get bored. There's such an incredible array of things to do near Springmaid Mountain; campgrounds like these are great. Springmaid Mountain is frequently visited by campers from Spruce Pine. Outdoors people   generally go for this segment of North Carolina.
