| | Worst camping experience ever. Tony, the new manager was no where to be found when we arrived to register, but there is a phone number on the shed you have to call. We have verizon and were barely able to get a call out and it kept going to voicemail which then told us to text him. About thirty minutes later he texted back saying all the creek sites were reserved, no other information was given. There are no signs with any basic information as far as rules or the most important thing you need to know, how much is it going to cost a night ($10 per person, per night, that is the most ridiculous rate i have ever seen in my life). You could stay at hanging rock campground for cheaper if | |
you have 2 or more people and have all the amenities such as a shower, plenty of running clean water and an actual in-shape camp site.
This campground has NO amenities and charges way more than an actual campground. When i
| | paid for our site ($30 for 2 nights) he asked if we needed wood because he had some we could just have, we said no we are good. 1 hour later i went to talk to Tony about getting that ''free wood'' he had and he shooed me away from the wood saying you have to pay for that you know. He must be bi polar, or just a plain old con artist. Charging people too much for a place that offers ONE port-a-potty that was completely full on LABOR DAY WEEKEND. You would think he would have it emptied, and one source of water that is located almost all the way to the highway and comes out of a nasty spicket. Says Jack B. (Mon, 3 Sep 2012)
I'm so happy to hear that Moores Springs is now open again, | |
