The So-Hi Campground is a great place to tent while hiking the Catskills. They have tent sits for as little as $30.00 a night. The remote bathrooms have
HOT showers and outside sinks with Hot water to wash dishes in. The large pool is a great place to cool off after a days hike. They have open sunny and shaded sites to suit your pleasure. Ralph the owner will make you feel at home
| | and can give you the take on all the local goings on. The local Emanuel's market in Stone Ridge has plenty of fresh organic goods for us health nuts. Stay at so-Hi, and you will come back to backpack! Says Dennis Bischof
We stayed at the So-Hi Campground in Accord, NY for the summer in our 35' Motorhome and found that So-Hi was a pleasant surprise after reading the negative reviews of the past. It was immediately obvious when we arrived that the new owner has made a consorted effort to rectify all of the problems that plagued the campground from the past neglect. I was particularly impressed by the size of the campsites and how well the grounds were maintained. The campground
|
shows all the signs of having been updated and I could see changes being made to further improve the facility while we were there. My impression was that this campground will become very popular. I only hope that this little known jewel does not get discovered by everyone else and I end up not being able to get a site in the future.

So-hi Campground - Rates start at just $30. 00 per night for tenting and $45. 00 per night for full hookup with a reasonable seasonal rate of $2350. 00
Under new ownership since July 2013 the So-Hi Campground has evolved from a neglected campground to a modern RV camping resort! There has been a concerted effort to rectify the mistakes of the past and improve every aspect of the campground so as to offer you an upscale retreat where the woodland solitude is only disrupted by the laughter of children and in lieu of a morning rooster we offer the distant rat-tat-tat of a woodpecker seeking its morning meal.
The campground offers you a peaceful change from the hectic blather of your daily life with an opportunity to experience, at least for a short time, the quiet serenity of a time lost to the past. Located just outside the historic Hamlets of Stone Ridge and High Falls NY within two hours from New York City and one hour from Albany, So-Hi is a retreat where dad can teach the children to fish, and the grandchildren can capture a bullfrog for grandma's approval. Just a short drive from the town of Stone Ridge, So-Hi is nestled in the Catskill Mountains. Sitting amongst a cluster of majestic oaks and tall pines that tower over generous campsites, So-Hi has all the amenities of the larger campgrounds but is small enough to have the ambiance of an intimate woodland experience.
The crystal clear pond supports paddle boats, fishing and a smattering of benches for your enjoyment. The large swimming pool is fenced for safet,y and a tree hammock is located within site of sports complex, so you can keep an eye on the children while you relax. The sports complex includes miniature golf, horse shoes, basketball court, volleyball field and of course the all important playground for the little ones. It has a large selection of sites, including everything from spacious RV sites to secluded primitive tent sites and everything in between. Some are shaded with dappled sunlight for those wishing to escape the summer heat and others that are open grassy sun filled sites for our sun worshiping friends.
So-Hi is camping at its best and has something for everyone no matter what your preference!
We are working hard to make So-Hi the preferred campground in the Catskills
