There's a store here where you may purchase things you need, and there are tent sites here where you can pitch a tent.   Some of the things you can do here at Dingman's Campgrounds are hiking, swimming, playing golf, fishing, and whitewater paddling, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen. Some folks opt for this campground for the purpose of being near Peebles Island State Park. It's very bad for you to spend all your time indoors; you have to get out every now and then; Dingman's Campgrounds in New York is the outdoors at its best. All the good local attractions in the vicinity and the good variety of outdoors recreation are tremendous reasons to come. Nearby you encounter the Valatie to Stockport sector, a class I-V stretch of whitewater. It's a wonderful 11-mile-in-length stretch on   Kinderhook Creek.
