Montana is a tremendous outdoors state. If you're trying to locate a type I-IV whitewater bit to paddle, you're in luck; the Madison Dam to Route
    84 sector is a fine 10-mile-from-beginning-to-end piece of Madison River. If you donít want to risk getting dripping wet this bit of Madison River is perhaps not for you. Whitewater kayaking or rafting may become dangerous, so check
 restrictions previous to going. The Lodge at Sun Ranch is a glorious location to ride horses near Lake Shore Lodge, and you're sure to run into some fine people from Mc Allister here. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Moonlight Basin. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Madison Meadows Golf Course is close at hand. Lake Shore Lodge is not the only place nearby, Cedar Lake is a nearby lake. It's a wonderful idea to take a look at South Meadow Creek, it's in the neighborhood of Lake Shore Lodge; Lake Shore Lodge is in close proximity to Lewis and Clark Caverns State Park which is a beautiful location. Going for a hike along the Pedro Trail will let  
you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. Madison Buffalo Jump State Park is a splendid location to stretch your legs a bit.
