Maple Tree Campground is an excellent place for horseback riding, and hiking here is great exercise, and enjoyable for the whole family. Cool off with a good swim; everyone likes bicycling here. Feel free to bring your old cat with       you if you choose, you are welcome to bring pet animals. Needless to say there are restrooms here. At the store here at Maple Tree Campground you could purchase necessary items, and don't forget your fishing pole since this site   has some good fishing. There is lodging where you can stay the night in tremendous comfort; they offer splendid fishing trips where you can get many good size fishes. On a sunny day at Maple Tree Campground it's a great idea to have a great picnic at the picnic area. Maple Tree Campground has some delightful cabins, and it's always cool to go for a canoe ride at Maple Tree Campground. A nearby class I-II whitewater bit is to be found on Catoctin Creek; the US 40 to Potomac River portion is 28.8 miles long. For those inexperienced in whitewater paddling this bit of Catoctin Creek may be an enjoyable site to kayak. Whitewater kayaking and rafting could become hazardous, so check conditions   before you go.
