Everyone should go hiking every so often,       and Housatonic Meadows State Park is a tremendous place to do that. The canoeing is good here in case you want to experience the wilderness in the neighborhood, and there's a delightful playground, so the young ones can have a delightful time. Water hookups are on hand here; when the sun is out you could always enjoy a pleasant barbeque at the picnic area. Feel free to bring that bunny rabbit along if you choose, you are allowed to bring pet animals. Everyone enjoys Mohawk Mountain and its 107 acres of skiing territory. 80% of the runs are beginner and intermediate while 20% of them are demanding and fitting for skilled skiers. The 640 feet of vertical drop at nearby Mohawk Mountain is genuine enjoyment. Mohawk Mountain boasts 8 feet of   snow every winter on its 24 runs that are served by its 6 good ski lifts.
