Nearby you run into the Black Bridge to Veltus Park portion, a category II+(III) sweep of whitewater. It's a great 6.2-mile-long sweep on Roaring Fork. If you hold a bit of whitewater kayaking and rafting practice, this portion of Roaring Fork could be a great spot for you. Unsurprisingly, whitewater kayaking and rafting is cool but dangerous; check conditions before heading out. For all you boaters, Roaring Fork   Marina is a tremendous marina close by.
