There are so many amusing things       to do right next door to Prospector - White River National Forest, and spending time at this campground is exceptionally enjoyable. Having 25% of the trails being black and red, and 75% of the 470 acres of skiable terrain being beginner   and intermediate; there are tremendous trails for any ability at Sunlight Mountain. The 67 trails of Sunlight Mountain are all exciting and are served by 4 lifts. The vertical drop is 2,010 feet, and this ski hill obtains 21 feet of beautiful snow per winter. Roaring Fork has a glorious 6.2-mile-long type II+(III) whitewater section nearby, the Black Bridge to Veltus Park portion. The Black Bridge to Veltus Park portion of Roaring Fork is recommended for whitewater paddlers of medium skill. Check circumstances prior to departure on the whitewater, or else it's not secure. There are good sites to look at along the Blue Creek Trail; a good location like Rifle Falls State Park is too pleasant to   leave out. A good game of mini golf is always cool at Grill, and people from Glenwood Springs love to come here.
