The nearby category I, 15-mile-long Upper section of whitewater on Eagle River is lots of fun. This bit of Eagle River is great for those lacking a great deal of whitewater knowledge. Don't snub to check current conditions before heading out whitewater kayaking or rafting to guarantee your protection. On a glorious wintertime day you can rent a snow mobile at Four Boys Toys; go on a tour to Avalon Equine Center in case you want   to ride a horse. Man, is there plenty of amusing things to do in the Talkeetna Mountains.
