The 2-mile-from-start-to-finish CR 44 to Lake Guntersville portion is a type IV-V portion of whitewater on Dry Creek. This run of Dry Creek is well suited for paddlers who have been paddling for a period of time. Don't go paddling ahead of first checking circumstances; it's hazardous business. If the weather is gorgeous, you acquire a tremendous sight of Taylor   Mountain from Lake Guntersville State Park.
