This segment of South Sauty Creek is recommended for whitewater paddlers of medium skill. Always check current conditions previous to going kayak paddling because kayak paddling is a hazardous thing to do. You're sure to run into some smiling folks from Cedar Bluff here. If by chance you're searching for a bowling alley close by, Dekalb Bowling Lanes is in the neighborhood of Big Oak Campground. A tour to Big Oak Campground wouldn’t be complete without a journey to close by James  
H. Sloppy Floyd State Park, and not far from Big Oak Campground you'll find Weiss Lake which is a charming lake. At this campground you will always have a wonderful time.
