The Model 597 Heavy Barrel rimfire target rifle combines a satin finished blued carbon steel barrel with matching receiver on a brown hardwood, laminated stock. The 20-inch barrel is drilled and tapped for Remington's Model 597 Scope Rail and the receiver is grooved for use with tip off scope mounts. The staggered, removable box magazine holds 10 cartridges in .22 LR and eight in .22 WMR. This Model 597 also comes with sling swivel studs.
