At only 2 lb. 5 oz., the MicroZoid provides 26 inches of headroom. The MicroZoid's non-freestanding design must be staked out to stay pitched, but the design is lightweight because only 2 DAC Featherlite aluminum poles are required. The MicroZoid has lots of mesh for great ventilation, and the rainfly has a roof vent with a kickstand to help prevent condensation build-up under the fly. To save weight, the tent body can be left at home and the rainfly can be used independently with the optional footprint for an ultralight 1 lb. 10 oz. shelter.
