Like our Stratus Access pack, the Stratus Passage features a front panel that zips open on both sides from top to bottom and an internal compression system that keeps your pack contents stable and in place while on the trail. Now add two large expandable stretch side pockets and a mesh organizer pocket inside the top lid pocket, and you have the Stratus Passage. External Pockets: Since external pockets are a great place to store fuel and water bottles, Granite Gear intentionally placed these pockets on the side of the pack and not on the front of the pack because heavy items such as fuel bottles should be carried near your center of gravity for the best balance and posture.
