Starting with the suspension, the lightweight 6061 aluminum V-frame and HDPE framesheet combine with an interchangeable thermoformed hipbelt to create a support skeleton for comfortably carrying a serious assortment of climbing hardware. The pack bag is made of the exceptionally durable and water repellent x-Pac fabric. This fabric is constructed with a three layer bonding process, featuring an interior white layer that makes it easier to find gear deep inside the bag. Hypalon trim is used to insure durability in high wear areas. Keeping with Arc'teryx' s reputation for attention to detail, the various features are functional, well-made and don't get in the way of the intended uses. A highlight is the DryBag rolltop lid closure system that keeps the bad weather out but is easy to open and close even when wearing gloves.
