2-pole freestanding dome Tent... with 7000 series aircraft-alloy aluminum poles (7.9 mm diam.) that are stronger than fiberglass at a lighter weight
75-denier 185T polyester fly and 70-denier 190T nylon floor are urethane coated, with factory sealed seams for maximum weatherproofing. The fly is highly resistant to UV damage, too
The walls are entirely mesh, for the maximum in ventilation and star gazing freedom in warmer weather
Vestibule over the door provides extra gear storage. The vestibule also serves as an automatic guy-out point for stability when the winds and weather get a little nasty. Extra large #8 zippers on door and vestibule assure smooth, durable performance
Weatherproof fly buckles to the tent, offering a much more secure attachment when compared to elastic cord
Mesh storage pockets and a gear loft for organizing your stuff

I own a ALPS Mountaineering Taurus 1 person tent. Got mine in 2004 and used it on the Kinderhook Horse Trail down in Ohio's Wayne National Forest. Great little tent. Very lightweight. Packs down fairly small. Pitches quite quickly. Plus it is not some BIG name brand tent. My years of hiking experience clearly shews ALPS Mountaineering makes quality gear without the price of those trendy,(think Mountain Hardware, Sierra Designs and MSR)BIG name brand tents. ALPS is the backpackers best friend!
