  At Grand Teton National Park you don’t see much rainfall; throughout the month of May you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is August. Grand Teton National Park has scenic nature scenery for you to enjoy. Grand Teton National Park is a common spot to spend time for people coming from Moose.
Summertime highs at Grand Teton National Park frequently tend to be in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 40's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 20's with temperatures at Grand Teton National Park dipping
    down into the 0's through winter nights. You'll meet a lot of folks from Moose here, and camping is available at Lazy J Corral. Stay the night at Gros Ventre Campground, and Jackson Hole is a splendid local ski area.
Fun pursuits are bountiful; there's always something for
everyone. Grand Teton National Park is a pleasant spot for a tour when you have to get out of the house. Camping at Jackson Koa Kampground 2 is always a glorious experience, and after a long day outdoors Alpenhof Lodge is a delightful location to spend a night or two.
Split Creek Ranch is a tremendous location to get some rest; the Granite Canyon Trail is a great hiking trail nearby. So much fun stuff close to Grand Teton National Park, clearly mind-boggling. Have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Valley Trail; if you need a place to stay Snake

Yep, outdoors amusing stuff to do are beyond doubt abundant here at Grand Teton National Park. There's so much to do here at Grand Teton National Park that you need to camp here for a while,
 
Wagon wheel Campground is a fine place for that; the slopes of Snow King are so inviting nobody can resist. Dry warm beds await you at Cottages At Snow King. Ditch Creek is a delightful whitewater spot next to Grand Teton National Park; Cache Creek Motel is a magnificent site to get some rest.


Towering more than a mile above the valley of Jackson Hole, the Grand Teton rises to 13,770 feet. Twelve Teton peaks reach above 12,000 feet and support a dozen mountain glaciers. The west side of the range slopes gently, showing the angle of tilt of the Earth's crust. The Teton Range is the youngest range in the Rockies and displays some of the North America's oldest rocks.

TRAVEL BASICS

Operating Hours, Seasons
The park is open every day. The Moose Visitor Center is open year-round, except for December 25. Opening and closing dates for other facilities are variable.

Getting There
PLANE - Fly into Jackson Hole Airport via commercial and charter air service. Local taxi, shuttle, and rental car services are available from the airport. Reserve your rental car when reserving your flight. Rentals are often in short supply.

CAR - Visitors may travel east and north from Salt Lake City, UT, east from Boise, ID, or south from western Montana, to Idaho Falls, ID, and over Teton Pass or up the Snake River Canyon to Jackson, WY, then north 12 miles to the Moose Visitor Center. Visitors may travel west from Riverton, WY, or Casper, WY, over Togwotee Pass and into the park via the east entrance. Visitors may also travel south from Yellowstone National Park and through Grand Teton's north entrance. Travel generally involves I-70, I-80, I-25, I-15 and State 191, depending upon actual routes.

Weather & Climate
The first heavy snows fall by November 1 and continue through March with snow and frost possible during any month. Summer days in the 70s and 80s with cool nights in the 40s. Summer thunderstorms are common. Mild to cool temperatures through September and October. Raingear recommended during spring, summer, and fall. Sub-zero temperatures are common throughout winter and demand multi-layered clothing, hats, mittens and cold weather boots.

Accessibility
Visitor Centers at Moose, Jenny Lake, Colter Bay, and Flagg Ranch provide accessible restrooms, TDD, parking spaces, curb cuts, and entrances. Restrooms and exhibits at Colter Bay may require assistance.

Many accessible interpretive activities are listed in the park newspaper, The Teewinot.

Campgrounds at Gros Ventre, Jenny Lake (partially accessible restrooms), and Colter Bay (partially accessible restrooms) are located on relatively flat terrain. Lizard Creek and Signal Mountain campgrounds are hilly and access is more difficult. Inquire for most accessible sites. Eight campsites along Grassy Lake Road, west of Flagg Ranch, provide easy access by vehicle and accessible vault toilets. Camping and RV sites at Flagg Ranch provide accessible facilities.

All lodging facilities provide some units that are accessible. Please contact individually for assistance and reservations. Restaurants with accessible facilities are located at Flagg Ranch, Leeks Marina, Jackson Lake Lodge, and Jenny Lake Lodge.

Some hiking trails are accessible, with asphalt surfaces, appropriate grades and good views. Most trails make no special provisions for accessibility. Valley floor elevations vary from 6,400' to 7,200'.

Wayside exhibits and overlooks are numerous and all have curb cuts and designated parking.

Getting Around
The primary means of getting around the park is by private car. The Grand Teton Lodge Company offers tour bus and shuttle service. Bicycles and canoes are available for rent at several locations.

CAMPING

Colter Bay Campground
25 miles north of Moose, with 350 sites, also has showers, a laundry and a trailer dump station. Fills about noon. Colter Bay is a wooded campground with larger sites and easier access if you are traveling with a camper, trailer or RV. Close to Jackson Lake with plenty to do close by.

Flagg Ranch Campground
Close and open dates are weather dependent.
Concession operated, located just south of Yellowstone National Park's south boundary. 175 sites in the spruce-fir forest. Call for reservations for both trailer sites and tent sites.

Gros Ventre Campground
11.5 miles south and east of Moose, with 360 sites and a trailer dump station. Generally fills in the evening, if at all. The campground lies along the Gros Ventre River with a mix of sites in sagebrush, beneath cottonwoods and adjacent to but a short distance from the river. If you are arriving in the afternoon of a busy day, just pull in. Seek a better site the next morning.

Jenny Lake Campground
8 miles north of Moose, 49 sites, tents only. This is the park's most popular campground and is generally full by 8 a.m. Sites are in among the evergreens and glacial boulders a short distance from Jenny Lake. Only one vehicle, less than 14 feet long, is permitted per site. Trailers are prohibited.

Lizard Creek Campground
At the north end of Grand Teton National Park, about 32 miles north of Moose, has 60 sites and fills by about 2:00 p.m. A less heavily developed campground with sites in the spruce and fir forest. One side of the campgound is adjacent to and slightly above Jackson Lake. Vehicle size limited to 30 feet.

Signal Mountain Campground
16 miles north of Jenny Lake, 86 sites and a trailer dump station. Fills by about 10 a.m. Signal Mountain offers a mix of spruce and fir trees, hillsides, and lake and mountain views. Adjacent to Signal Mountain Lodge and marina with a campstore and amenities close by. Sites are generally small and intimate. Vehicles size limited to 30 feet.

Exhibits - The Indian Arts Museum displays some of the David T. Vernon Collection, an impressive variety of American Indian artifacts.
Available Facilities - A large book store, information desk, auditorium, telephones, restrooms, and a permits desk.

FLAGG RANCH INFORMATION STATION
Location - Located about 2.5 miles south of Yellowstone National Park's south boundary and 40 miles north of Moose.
Closures - Open during summer and winter only.
Exhibits - Features information about John D. Rockefeller, Jr. and the Greater Yellowstone area.
Available Facilities - Book sales, park information, and restrooms. Flagg Ranch Resort is nearby.

JENNY LAKE VISITOR CENTER
Location - Located 8 miles north of Moose at South Jenny Lake.
Closures - Closed October through May.
Exhibits - Features geology exhibits, information, and a relief model.
Available Facilities - Activity schedules, maps, book store, restrooms, store, and telephones adjacent. Jenny Lake Campground is nearby.
