 Crater Lake National Park is one of the most beautiful places in the country. There are plenty of great hiking trails here to take it all in. Crater Lake National Park has a great quantity of natural beauty; it's a place where everyone has a great time. Not far from Crater Lake National Park you discover Governors Bay, and Victor Rock is something you shouldn't miss if you're here. Crater Lake National Park is a great place for a visit when you have to get out of the house. Sevenmile Marsh Campground is a good local campground, and one of the dominant
    features of the surroundings of Crater Lake National Park is Applegate Peak.
This place, Crater Lake National Park, it simply has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. Not far from Crater Lake National Park, you'll stumble on Crater Lake which is a wonderful lake, and you'll meet
a lot of folks from Crater Lake here. Crater Lake National Park has great outdoors recreation, so you could have fun while here. So much entertaining stuff to do in the Southern Cascade Range, not enough time. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Munson Springs, and Crater Lake National Park is near Munson Valley which is certainly worth stopping at.
But wait, there's more to do near Crater Lake National Park. There are other locations here than Crater Lake National Park, for example Quillwort Pond; you should stop by Eagle Cove when you're here.

are in the 20's. Take a hike on the Crater Peak Trail, and Garfield Peak is clearly visible from Crater Lake National Park.
All the water falling down from the sky makes Crater Lake National Park a wet place; November is the month that gets the most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. The beauty of Crater Lake National Park is there for your viewing gratification.
If you came for an overnight stay Mazama Campground is a fine location to camp, and Crater Lake National Park is right by the Dutton Creek Trail. If you
 
love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Southern Cascade Range. Eagle Crags is a peak you can see from Crater Lake National Park, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Garfield Peak Trail. Have a perfect hiking adventure along the Union Peak Trail; a lovely lake like Gordon Lake is a glorious location to check out.
It's a popular place to travel to for people arriving from Crater Lake. Lakes are such peaceful locations, why not visit Whitehorse Pond in close proximity to Crater Lake National Park, and hiking along the Lightening Spring Trail is perfect fun. This site, the Southern Cascade Range, has so much outdoors cool things. Eagle Point is rather near Crater Lake National Park, and Dyar Rock is an out of the ordinary thing to see while you're here.
There are lots of fun pastimes for the whole family to take pleasure in.

Crater Lake is widely known for its intense blue color and spectacular views. During summer, visitors may navigate the Rim Drive around the lake, enjoy boat tours on the lake surface, stay in the historic Crater Lake Lodge, camp at Mazama Village, or hike some of the park's various trails including Mt. Scott at 8,929 ft.

Diverse interpretive programs enhance visitors' knowledge and appreciation of this national park, 90% of which is managed as wilderness. The winter brings some of the heaviest snowfall in the country, averaging 533 inches per year. Although park facilities mostly close for this snowy season, visitors may view the lake during fair weather, enjoy cross-country skiing, and participate in weekend snowshoe hikes.

Operating Hours, Seasons
The park is always open, but many of the roads and facilities are closed during the winter.

Summer Hours --

Rim Village Visitor Center: Early June through late September, 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM, daily.

Steel Visitor Center: Early April through early November, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, daily.

Winter Hours --

Steel Visitor Center: Early November through early April, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM, daily.

Getting There
PLANE - The closest airports are located in Klamath Falls (60 miles from the park) and Medford (80 miles from the park).

CAR - From the North: From Roseburg - route 138 east to the park's north entrance. From Bend - Route 97 south to route 138 west to the park's north entrance.

From the South: From Medford - Route 62 north and east to the park's west entrance. From Klamath Falls - Route 97 north to route 62 north and west to the park's south entrance.

CAMPING

Lost Creek Campground
Lost Creek Campground has 16 tent sites and is open from mid-July to early October. Please Note - Weather can impact the opening and closing dates of the campground.

Mazama Campground
Mazama campground has 200 sites and is open early June through early October. Reservations are not taken, however sites are usually available. Running water, flush toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings are provided. Please Note - Weather can impact the opening and closing dates of the campground.

Crater Lake Lodge
Crater Lake Lodge has 71 rooms and is normally open mid-May through mid-October. Advance reservations are strongly recommended.
