Whitewater paddling is good on Sope Creek. Lakes? Sure, Bull Sluice Lake is nearby. In case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Big Creek, and for you golfers we recommend close by Blue Heron Golf Club.
The Recreation Area
lies within four counties, north and northeast of downtown Atlanta, Georgia. It consists of 16 land units along a 48-mile stretch of the Chattahoochee River.
In addition to providing recreational activities such as fishing, hiking, picnicking, and boating, the park contains
a wide variety of natural habitats, flora and fauna, nineteenth century historic sites, and Native American archeological sites.

TRAVEL BASICS
Operating Hours, Seasons Day-use only. Park is open from dawn to dark all year long.
Dark
is defined as 30 minutes after legal sunset and 30 minutes before legal sunrise.

Activity Fee PARKING FEE $2.00 for Day $25.00 for Annual Although there are no entrance fees, Chattahoochee NRA has instituted a daily parking fee for all units of the park. An Annual Park Pass is available.
