Pine Springs Golf Course 2 PHOTOS This is a great course to play for any level golfer. The fairways are plenty wide, and the greens are big and always well maintained. You can also play under the lights.... Oak Hurst Golf Course Oak Hurst is a very challenging round of golf, although the course is wide open the big greens and bermuda fairway's are hard to hold because of lack of rain. The staff is first class and very attentive of your needs.... Neches River 19 miles away scouted at put in and half mile downstream. the stream has enough water to paddle and there is plentiful wildlife in the area. there is nothing more than a ripple down this stream though and there is garbage everywhere at the put in and the first half mile. the take out looks almost impassably overgrown. i did not even bother scouting it more closely as i have little interest in watching a great blue heron stand on a dirty, old, carboard beer box....
